Spring is almost here, which means it’s time to start planning your promotions for our BIA’s fourth annual ‘BLOOM by the Park’ cherry blossom celebration!
Bring the crowds to your doorstep by creating cherry or blossom-themed specials and events. Online registration for promos/events will open mid-March.
Bloom Date: usually late April or early May
High Park Visitors: est. 300,000
Cost to Participate: FREE for Bloor by the Park BIA members!

Easy Ideas to Inspire Your Promos:
Customize a limited edition menu item (eg. pink/cherry/blossom-themed products, cherry blossom designs, hanami picnic box or combo, etc)
Offer a free or bonus product/service (eg. free Spring bike tune-up, free appetizer during peak bloom with minimum spend, $1 donut with purchase of drink, bonus moisturizer with beauty service, free sakura art print, etc)
Sell cherry blossom products (eg. jewelry, nail art, beauty products, clothing, keychains, etc.)
Offer a discount or bounceback coupon (eg. BOGO, ‘15% off during peak bloom’, ‘$5 off your next purchase’, ‘$5 free-play coupon’, etc)

Why is our BIA hosting a cherry blossom celebration?
The location advantage: unlike other BIAs, ours is uniquely located right next to High Park (aka Bloor by the Park). As hundreds-of-thousands of people travel to the park to experience the blossoms, they’ll look to see what’s nearby. Your cherry blossom promos will give you the best chance to catch their attention, increase sales and gain new customers. Limited-time offers create a sense of urgency and FOMO (fear of missing out), which entices people to buy into your promo before it’s gone. Having a cherry blossom event is also another step towards building our BIA’s brand and vibe while engaging with community interests.
